Young Empowered And Healthy (Y.E.A.H) launched the “True Manhood” campaign on 2nd June 2009 in Kampala. The True Manhood campaign challenges young men to do what it takes to protect themselves and their partners from HIV by addressing Alcohol use and abuse, Violence Against Women and Something for Something Love.

The True Manhood Campaign was officially launched by the Director General of Uganda Aids Commission (UAC), Dr. David Kihumuro Apuuli in the presence of 200 invited guests including young people; donors; line ministries; NGOs; and the media. During the launch, YEAH’s True Manhood song was performed live for the first time by Ugandan artists GNL Zamba, Aziz Azion, T-Bro and Lumix. The young artists were brought together by YEAH to write and record the new song, which was produced by Benon of Swangz Ave.
